SOLO’s environment is expanding

We are developing a software capable of giving all the tools to use SOLO Motor Controller via serial communication through USB or UART. The goal is challenging, but it’s seeking to give a software at the same level of the hardware. This will help with even faster prototyping and analysis of SOLO motor controller.

Main features

Simple Commands Interface

We want to give the possibility of sending commands by connecting the USB to SOLO, using our digital communication protocol with UART. This feature will give the possibility to send simple command and check what solo reply.

Action Interface

This feature comes on top of the Simple commands Interface and it will give the possibility to send Actions to SOLO without thinking about the protocol itself, it will automatically form the necessary packets and it will send them to SOLO.

Monitoring Interface

This feature gives the possibility to monitor various variable inside of SOLO in real-time like the motor voltages, currents, speeds and so on.

Cross platform

We know hardware communication is really Operating System dependent, but we aim to make a software able to be used on different Platforms for this reason our choice is to create a Chrome Application.

Open Source

We want to give the possibility to the community to help us to even further enhance the software. The project will be placed on GitHub once a stable version is available.
